Ivy Cohen Corporate Communications
President and CEO

Ivy Cohen’s career has taken her down an unconventional path, with leadership roles in the corporate world,as an entrepreneur, as CEO of a major national non-profit and as a public policy advocate in our nation’s capital. Along the way, she has cultivated a unique perspective on how organizations work, leaders think, and successful managers mobilize others. She has helped organizations and their leaders develop compelling narratives, and she’s known for a professional style that engages, inspires and guides leaders to deliver high-impact results.

Ivy has spent 25+ years advising companies and executives on how to build their reputations. An accomplished executive and small business owner, and a results-oriented community leader, she has been leading her eponymously named boutique corporate communications agency, crafting big ideas and delivering outsized results for her clients. She is known for delivering expert strategy and programs in thought leadership, public education, issues management and content creation for industry-leading companies like Procter & Gamble, DHL, KEEN, the National Football League, Western Union, Teva Pharmaceuticals, J.D. Power, MasterCard, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Digitas Health, and Wells Fargo. For 10 years, Ivy also served as CEO of the nation’s most prominent youth empowerment and drug abuse prevention organization, “Just Say No” International.

Throughout her career, Ivy has advised and engaged management teams to devise strategies for anticipating and responding to situations that can disrupt their operations, put their brands at risk or damage organization and executive reputations. Her crisis communications and issues management work has involved multi-national corporations as well as organizations in the shipping and logistics, anti-terrorism, higher education and disaster relief sectors. Most recently she has been advising clients on strategies, messaging and initiatives to engage their customers, employees and other stakeholders related to and during the “new normal” of COVID-19.

Ivy is a sought-after speaker and moderator who has presented before the P&G Alumni Association, the National Football League, Super Bowl XLVIII Business Connect, and numerous business and civic audiences, including at the White House. She also serves as the PR and communications advisor and mentor for startup and technology incubators, including Mount Sinai Innovation Program, Berkeley SkyDeck, MedStartr, WEVE, Zahn Innovation Center, and Future Labs (NYU).

As a civic leader, Ivy’s involvements have included the University of California (Legislative Relations Committee), San Francisco Bay Area World Trade Center, the invitation-only Renaissance Weekend, UJA- Federation of New York, and YouthBridge-New York (greater New York’s premier youth diversity program). Ivy received YouthBridge-NY’s Community Service Award in 2012. Her work was recognized by PENCIL with its 2009 Innovative Partnership Award for her collaboration with P.S. 247 to create the groundbreaking College Partnership Program™ for an elementary school in a low-income Brooklyn neighborhood.

In 2021, Crain’s New York named Ivy one of their Notable Women Business Owners, fortuitously timed with the 20 th anniversary celebration of Ivy Cohen Corporate Communications.

Ivy holds a BA from University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Georgetown University.
