Nathan Percy is a news reporter for the Orange County Register, covering multiple south county cities; but before switching beats in May, he covered community sports for the Register for two years. Prior to that, Nathan worked at a small bi-monthly community newspaper, The La Habra Journal, covering high school and community sports. Nathan got his start in journalism by writing for The Hornet at Fullerton College for four semesters. Nathan was Editor-in-Chief of The Hornet for two semesters and a co-Sports Editor for one semester.

Nathan's favorite moment in sports reporting was getting the chance to profile Ronnie Hillman after his rookie season with the Denver Broncos. Nathan started covering high school sports when Hillman was a senior standout at La Habra High School.
